Port Macquarie Koala Hospital

We thank Ritchies Community Benefits for their generous donations to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.

Following the bush fires and then Covid-19, the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital staff and volunteers have been humbled by the gratitude, good wishes, support and care that has continued to come from the Australian and International communities to assist our efforts to care for wild koalas.

"As a Not-for-Profit charity, we need and appreciate donations like yours, to allow us to continue to rescue and rehabilitate koalas and return them to the wild where possible.

Donations will also enable us to establish the world’s first wild koala breeding program where we are planning to breed up to 30 koalas a year. Funds will be directed to building a facility to allow the breeding to be conducted as a scientific research project and when the koalas breed, new populations of koalas, free of disease, will be released together, into the wild.

Your kind donation makes a massive difference in helping us to continue to look after these amazing and threatened, Australian wildlife icons."
