Sticky Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks
Chicken makes a most affordable family meal. These sticky honey soy chicken drumsticks are fast to prepare, really easy to make, and absolutely delicious. In fact, it might be worth making a double quantity.

- 1kg (8) Ritchies chicken drumsticks
- marinade
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons runny honey
- 2 garlic cloves, finely diced or crushed
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (or 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- to serve
- sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 spring onions, sliced

Method
- In a large bowl mix together all the marinade ingredients. Stir in the chicken until thoroughly coated. If you have time, cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Turn occasionally to let all the flavours soak in. (You can simply marinate and cook straightaway if you prefer).
- When you’re ready to cook, preheat oven to 180oC. Spread the marinated chicken drumsticks with the marinade in a single layer on a flat oven proof dish. Bake for about 50 minutes turning often and basting with the pan juices until the chicken is dark brown, sticky and cooked through.
- Serve sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and spring onion slices, with steamed rice and Asian vegetables.
