Spicy Prawn Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 packet of your favourite pasta (prepare according to package instructions)
    • 350g prawns, deveined
    • 1 white onion, sliced into wedges
    • 1 punnet of mixed cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered
    • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed and finely chopped
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon of chili oil (adjust to taste for desired heat level)
    • ½ bunch of fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon of cracked black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon of salt
    • 50g Pecorino cheese (shaved)

Method

1.    Heat olive oil in a medium frying pan over medium-high heat.

2.    Add the sliced onions and crushed garlic, sauté until fragrant and onions are translucent.

3.    Toss in the cherry tomatoes and chopped parsley, then add the prawns to the pan.

4.    Season with salt, black pepper, and chili oil. Stir well until the prawns turn slightly pink.

5.    Once the prawns are cooked, add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.

6.    If you desire more heat, feel free to add extra chili oil at this stage (optional).

7.    Serve the spicy prawn pasta on plates, and top with grated Parmesan or Pecorino cheese.
