Fred Harrison – CEO & Ritchies Director 

When did you join Ritchies?  

I started with Ritchies in 1975 – I’m about to celebrate 50 years working in the business.  

What do you do at Ritchies? 

 I am the CEO and a Director at Ritchies. I’m very involved in the strategic planning of the business and also work very closing with the day to day running of the total business i,e Supermarkets and Liquor stores.

Tell us about your career path. 

 I commenced as a casual at Ritchies after school and worked my way through the ranks

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?  

Treat people the way you liked to be treated yourself

What is a favourite quote?  

10 words of 2 letters!! “IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME!!”

What sport are you most passionate about?  

AFL and the Hot Pies!!

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you  

as a boy growing up, I was a very good piano player. Made it to grade 4. Grade 6 you’re fully trained. Regret giving it up when I did ☹

What is your favourite think to buy in a Supermarket?

 I’m a sucker for the delightful Somerville Cabana
