BEGA Promotion – February 2024
By entering the BEGA Travel & Transport Promotion, you agree to the following conditions:
1 STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry into this promotion and is deemed acceptance by you, of these terms and conditions.
a) Shopping at a Ritchies Supermarket in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland during the promotional period.
b) And completing the entry form at http://ritchies.com.au/bega
2 WHO CAN ENTER ?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all Australian residents, 18 years and over.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd (ABN 31 005 041 814) and also employees and their immediate families of BDD Australia Pty Ltd, (ABN 68 083 019 390), and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate are not eligible to win.
3 HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Bega Travel & Transport promotion commences on Wednesday 14 February at
12.01 am AEDT and closes on Tuesday 12 March 2024 at 11.59 pm AEDT. To enter, the purchaser must spend $10 or more in a single transaction, from the participating Bega range, as detailed in Clause 9 at the end of these terms and conditions, and then complete the entry form no later than 12 March 2024 at 11.30pm (AEDT). Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
3.2 You can also scan the QR code seen in store on shelf point of sale, to enter the competition. Participating products will be advertised at each Ritchies store using shelf wobblers in refrigerated & other supermarket shelf locations, on a panel in their catalogues, Digital presence with social media and in store TV screens and in E- newsletters.
3.3 Multiple entries are permitted subject to the following:
a) maximum of two entries per day, per eligible transaction, and
b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements, and
c) unrecognised receipts will be deemed invalid
d) Entrants MUST retain their original purchase receipt(s) for all entries as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for any entries when requested,
may in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of all of an
entrant’s entries and forfeiture of any right to a prize.
e) Once you have completed the entry form online and inserted all your personal details as requested, you will then be requested to insert a clear photo of your receipt as part of the entry process.
It must specify the retailer, date and time of purchase, the BEGA products purchased, transaction total and that the eligible purchase was made during the competition purchase period.
f) The receipt may include other items you have purchased, however, the total of the BEGA products must be equal in value to $10.00 OR are more than the minimum requirement of $10.00 for each entry.
3.4 Winners are drawn at random using a computerised draw.
4 PRIZE WINNERS
4.1 There are three (3) main prizes, each to the value of a $6,000 Travel Card, with each winner receiving one (1) Travel Card. All main prizes will be drawn at end of promotion period. Total of $18,000.
4.2 Each weekly draw will include the following prizes:
One of (4) Segway Ninebot Kickscooter F2 Plus, each valued at $1,000 / Total of $4,000 1x drawn each week.
One of (4) Aqua Marina Beast 10'6'' Inflatable Stand Up Paddleboards, each valued at
$1,000 / Total of $4,000. 1 drawn each week.
One of (16) Ritchies Gift Cards, each valued at $250 / Total of $4,000. 4 x drawn each week.
4.3 Prizes are to be drawn at 3.00 pm, at Suite 8/56 Bay Road Sandringham, VIC 3191, by an electronic draw on Thursday 22 and 29 February, and Thursday 7 and 14 March.
4.4 The final draw for the major prizes will take place at 10.00 am on Friday 15 March 2024, at the same location as above.
4.5 Winners will be published on the Ritchies website within 7 days of each draw, www.ritchies.com.au/bega
4.6 Winners will be contacted by phone and email. The winners’ names will also be added
to their website within 7 days of the draw. www.ritchies.com.au/bega
4.7 Prizes will be posted or delivered to the winners, where possible. Alternative arrangements may be required for some winners depending on their location.
4.8 The three (3) winners for each main prize, will be given a travel card and details of a 3rd party who will assist them in making their bookings. Any additional costs over and above the travel card amount of $6,000, will be payable by the winner to the 3rd party. The Promoter will not be liable for any additional costs with these prizes and not be liable for any insurance or other items added to the prize.
PRIZE CONDITIONS
a. Prizes cannot be transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash.
b. Additional options and ancillary costs are the responsibility of the major prize winner(s). Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the major prize winner(s).
c. In accepting the prize, the Winner(s) agree to participate in and cooperate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the Winner(s) grants the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the Winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
d. Prize values are based on the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
e. Prize Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.
f. Subject to consumer rights under e.g. the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Govt.), the Promoter is not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect or consequential loss or loss of profits), damage, injury or death in connection with this offer or any gift, except liability which can't be excluded (which is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).
g. Permits are only required in NSW, Australia for this promotion as advised by each State governing body. Permit Authority: T/P 02728
5. UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAWS
5.1 Subject to any written direction any unclaimed prize draw from all non-winning entries will take place on 11 June 2024 at Suite 8/ 56 Bay Road Sandringham, VIC 3191.
5.2 The Promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the Competition result.
5.3 It is a condition of accepting any of the prizes that the winners must comply with all conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
5.4 It is also a condition of accepting any of the prizes, that the Winners maybe required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under State Regulation.
6.2 Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail including electronic mail. And further will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:
a) During the draw;
b) In the participation in any prize;
c) As a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail, telephone or internet malfunction;
d) Due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compare, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
e) Arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, mobile or internet communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
6.3 Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
6.4 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
7.GENERAL
7.1 The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.ritchies.com.au/privacy1. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant.
7.2 The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will not disclose entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia.

• The promoters and our third party providers of travel and travel related products and services may disclose your personal information to others where directly connected with facilitating your prize of the travel voucher and those arrangements, for bookings and the provision of travel services and products. For example, we may disclose your personal information to airlines, hotels, rental car companies and other service providers in facilitating your travel arrangements.
• At all times, we retain the right to monitor, retain and disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or government request.
